Data Privacy Policy
1. Staffing Services and Job Market Use
1.1 Our staffing services for the logistics job market are operated by LOGISTIC PEOPLE in accordance with the policies described below. LOGISTIC PEOPLE is committed to protect the privacy of its users, consistent with the pertinent laws. We strive to ensure safe and secure use of our website. The purpose of this statement is to provide you with information on how personal information provided to us, particularly through this website, will be used.
1.2 Handling personal information professionally, trustfully and discretely is of great importance to LOGISTIC PEOPLE.
2. Storing, processing and use of your data
2.1 By submitting your personal data to us, you consent to us collecting, using, storing and disclosing your personal data for the purposes set out in these policies. Generally, we will collect, use, store and disclose your personal data for the following purposes, or as otherwise permitted or required by law:
- to provide you with LOGISTIC PEOPLE's services,
- to communicate with you generally on available job vacancies and facilitating your job search and/or application with third parties,
- to assist you with the application of jobs with third parties and to send your personal data to third parties in relation thereto,
- to provide you with information on industry news and updates, and
- to market our services or improve our customer service.
2.2 By providing an e-mail address in our system, we assume you have given us approval to communicate with you by e-mail.
2.3 In addition to personal information, we also store information on the browser type/version, your operating system, referrer URL (previously visited page), IP address and date of the server request. The data will solely be used for statistical purposes.
3. Data Integrity
3.1 LOGISTIC PEOPLE has implemented all the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from accidental damage and unauthorised access, use, modification, or release. Despite all these measures, the internet is an open system and we are unable to guarantee unauthorised third parties will never be able to bypass such measures or use your personal information for other purposes. We cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating via e-mail, so that we recommend sending confidential information through the mail.
4 Updating and deleting your information
4.1 The information for your applicant profile submitted to us through an online application, can be corrected, updated, edited or deleted at any time until posted.
4.2 Once we have personally met you in an applicant interview, we will lock the data. You may request your data to be modified, deleted, or locked at any time, including once posted. Please contact your LOGISTIC PEOPLE agent for this purpose.
4.3 If you have not completed your incomplete applicant profile within 14 days after adding it or submit the necessary information in file format to us, your information will be deleted after this period. If your information is still required for us to provide services, the data will be locked. This can particularly be the case if we have procured a job for you or you are/were a staff member of ours.
5. Release of personal information
5.1 Your profile may be forwarded to our clients without specific mention of your identity.
5.2 You also have the option to:
A. generally authorise release to all interested clients.
B. generally authorise release to all interested clients with the exception of companies specified by you.
C. authorise release on a case by case basis upon request.
5.3 The terms for release may change at any time, however this does not affect prior or pending releases.
5.4 Under no circumstances will we lease, sell or release data to third parties, except for the purposes set out herein or based on legal duties, regulatory action or court order to maintain or assert justified interests or to protect against risks to government or public safety, or to prosecute offences.
5.5 Data is only released outside Singapore if you have expressly requested international placement. Some employers interested in your resume may be located worldwide. These countries could potentially not provide an equivalent legal protection from use of such information. We will only submit your personal information to such employers with your expressed approval.
6. Links to websites not operated by LOGISTIC PEOPLE
6.1 LOGISTIC PEOPLE websites may contain links to third party websites. These sites and their data protection measures are not under the control of LOGISTIC PEOPLE, so that we are not responsible for their information or contents. Personal information you provided to such third parties are not subject to the above data privacy statement. Some third party providers may possibly submit your personal information to us. In this case the release is subject to the data privacy policy of the respective third party provider.
7. Piwik statistical evaluation
7.1 Our website uses Piwik, on open-source-software for statistical evaluation of user access. Piwik uses so-called cookies, text files stores on your computer allowing for the analysis of your use of the website. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookies is stored on the server. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before being stored. You may prevent cookies from being installed by configuring your browser software accordingly; however, please note that doing so may potentially prevent you from using all functions of this website.
