Description: Supply Chain Manager - Logistics Procurement
Our client, in the chemical segment is seeking to fill the following challenging position :-
Responsibilities:
• Establish regional operational strategies, plans and activities that support organisation’s warehouse/distribution and transportation deliverables
• Champion network optimisation initiatives – planning to implementations within the local and regional operations.
• Lead RFQs and contract negotiations with key vendors & suppliers and strategic procurement
• Lead in project teams
• Institute SOPs in tandem with short to long terms supply chain / procuremnet of logistics targets.
• Liase with cross functional team to ensure optimisation of logistics procurement strategies
• Provide performance and management reports to management.
• Collaborate with all concerned stakeholders to drive overall logistics procurement initiatives in tandem with clients established KPI.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Min Diploma / Degree holder. Preferably in Supply Chain Management
• At least 6 years experience in the logistics procurement experience preferably in the Chemical industry
• Fundamental understanding of strategic supply chain procurement, network optimsation and supply chain’s value propositions.
• Innovative and capable of identifying and implementing solutions in Logistics, transportation and storage / warehousing.
• Relish to take on more responsbilities and scope of work for career growth
• Able to foster effective teamwork and collaboration by setting clear directions and priorities.
• Strategically focused
• Strong team management skills.
